Crawler updates

We’ve made several updates to the crawler. The crawler is now much faster and more precise in the results. More cookies are now automatically classified and assigned to the right provider. We also added some new settings for the crawler (e.g. crawling password ranges and excluding domains/paths from crawling).

Cookies & local storage

Local storage is a way of storing information on a device. It is very similar to cookies, but with less impact on privacy and technical limitations. Consentmanager now supports using this technology as a secondary store for users’ consent information. This helps cache user choices more securely – even in cases where browsers don’t support cookies or delete them. The new feature can be enabled under Menu > CMPs > Edit > Other Settings > Consent Storage.

webinars

A number of webinars took place in December, in particular on Getting Started and IAB TCF v2. The documents and videos of the webinars can now be found online on our website: https://www.consentmanager.net/en/wissen/videos/

More new features and changes

  • Various bugfixes on AMP pages
  • More flexibility: Purposes are now CMP-specific and no longer account-specific
  • Adobe Analytics & Adobe Consent Mode support
  • IAB TCF Provider Cookies Policy Support
  • … and much more.
