Product update: IAB TCF v2.3, faster design editor and more

This month, we have added support for the latest version of the IAB TCF, v2.3. You do not need to take any action. However, if you would like to switch right away, you can do so under Menu > CMPs > Integrations > IAB TCF by changing the setting from 2.2 to 2.3. Otherwise, your CMP will be updated automatically at the end of February. At the same time, we have made the design editor noticeably faster, so layouts load and apply changes more smoothly, especially for more complex designs. Additionally, we have added an improved server location overview to provide a clearer picture of where data is processed and to help you review your setup more easily.

Switzerland updates its cookie guidelines

Switzerland’s data protection authority has updated its guidance on cookies and similar technologies. Website operators must clearly explain which technologies they use, for what purposes, and how users can refuse non-essential cookies. Some non-essential cookies may be used without consent if there is a strong legitimate interest and an easy opt out, while explicit consent is required for sensitive or higher risk uses. You can enable support for the Swiss data privacy law in your dashboard by selecting your CMP, going to Legal, and activating FADP – Switzerland under the Legislations section.
