Update on default texts

With the next update in October 2022 (scheduled 17 Oct 2022) we will update the default headline and welcome texts in the consent layer. For clients that use custom texts, these texts will not texts change.

How can I see if I’m using the default texts?

In order to find out if your design is using the default texts and will be affected by the update, please go to Menu > Texts and choose your language and the default design. The update will affect the headline and text of the GDPR welcome page as well as all other legislations that are active in your account except for CCPA (e.g. LGPD and PIPEDA will be affected if activated in your account).

Next to each text you see a small redo-icon:

• If the icon is blue, this means, that you have changed the text and are not using the default text. These texts will not be updated.
• If the icon is gray, this means, that you have not changed the text and you are using the default text. This text will be updated.

How can i prevent the update?

As described above, the update will only affect texts that have not been changed. If you do not want the update to be applied to your texts, simply change the texts (e.g. add a space to the end) and save the change. The redo-icon shall appear as blue and signal that this text is not the default and will therefore not be changed with the October update.
