TTDSG in brief:
The abbreviation TTDSG stands for Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act and has been in force in Germany since December 1, 2021. The TTDSG regulates telecommunications secrecy and data protection for telecommunications and telemedia services. With the introduction of the TTDSG, existing data protection gaps are to be closed, such as Article 5 (3) of the ePrivacy Directive, which was implemented into German law by § 25 of the new TTDSG. It also supplements the European Electronic Communications Code (Directive (EU) 2018/1972 (ECC Directive)).
